Welcome to my new site: Simple Joys. I plan to post the first items in a couple of days. This is taking me a little longer to set up than I thought it would. It takes me a long time to figure things out and to get them right on the computer.

Hi! and welcome to my new blog site: Simple Joys. I have been involved in decorative painting for many years. I took basic lessons and then started studying different styles. One of my favorite artists is Terrye French. I love her simple, but cute primitive ideas. Another is Jane Roe from Huffman. I have many of her patterns and like the faces she designed. At the moment I really like many of the primitive Americana designs. I have created some of my own designs, but I do use a lot of patterns from other artists. I usually change the basic design to fit whatever I am painting. Please let me know if you enjoy the items.
